The Individual and Family Services Department in Nybro Municipality is responsible for providing support and services to individuals and families in need. The department works in several areas, including child and youth care, support for families and children in crisis or in need of social support, financial assistance, domestic violence, addiction care, and support for individuals with mental health issues and disabilities. The work is primarily governed by the Social Services Act (SoL) and the Act on Support and Service for Certain Disabled Persons (LSS). Organizationally, the department is divided into two operations: Functional Support and Individual and Family Care.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Do you want to lead a social service in change and development? Do you have experience in change management and creating sustainable structures for an effective and qualitative organization? We are now looking for a driven and strategic leader who wants to take our social services and disability care into the future.

As the head of department, you have the overall responsibility for leading, developing, and modernizing the operations for individual and family care and functional support. With change management as a tool, you will work together with your management team to drive development processes to streamline working methods, increase quality, and ensure that the operations meet future needs.

You will work closely with the political leadership, collaborate with other internal and external stakeholders, and create a culture characterized by participation and innovation.

Your responsibilities in brief:

• Lead change work and be responsible for the implementation of new working methods
• Strengthen collaboration between different stakeholders and operational areas
• Work with effective governance that supports goal fulfillment
• Be responsible for effective resource management and a balanced economy

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a relevant academic degree for the position and knowledge in the relevant area and legislation. You are well aware of the challenges and opportunities in welfare and are driven to create sustainable structures for an effective and qualitative operation for the benefit of our residents.

You also have experience leading changes with good results and a good understanding of the complexity of being a manager and leader in a politically governed organization.

We also see that you have good knowledge of financial management and the ability to balance the allocated budget while maintaining quality and legal security. Fluency in Swedish and a good ability to express yourself in speech and writing are required for the position. A B driver's license is also a requirement.
